I composed this tune in memory of my brother Mark who died in February 2020.
I felt that this would be a fitting way to celebrate his life and to say thank you for the care and compassion that he received in Highland Hospice, Inverness. Fyrish is the monument at the top of Cnoc Fyrish, a hill overlooking the Cromarty Firth.

This was a special place that Mark and his family visited on many occasions.
My heartfelt thanks go to all the players of our Scots Music Group class and tutor Keith Dickson - I am so grateful for their time and playing.
The care and support that Mark and his family received at Highland Hospice was exceptional and second to none.
I hope that if you enjoyed watching our video that you may consider making a small donation to this charity

Elspeth's Birthday
Our hard working class representative Elspeth Porter recently celebrated a very special birthday (on the same day as HRH The Queen celebrated her 90th Birthday) and to celebrate this event Liz kindly baked a birthday cake which we all enjoyed scoffing after singing Happy Birthday to Elspeth.
To mark this special occasion Elspeth's husband Hamish kindly commissioned Keith Dickson to compose a tune specially for Elspeth. Keith presented Elspeth with a signed framed copy of the tune - and the class performed a rendition of the piece to the members of Andrew Warren's class - who couldn't resist joining us for some delicious cake!

Christmas Party Night - December 2014
The Scots Music Group's Piano Accordion Classes enjoyed a Christmas Party Night at La Rusticana in Hanover Street on 10 Dec, 2014. A delicious meal was followed by a lively musical interlude from two of our guests Sandy Brechin and Ewan Wilkinson. Several class members and former class members then provided more musical entertainment (Angus Creech pictured in action above). Thanks again to Angelo and the restaurant staff for their kind hospitality.
